A safe, loving environment for every child to
Grow Play Learn
At Echidna Early Learning Centre, our commitment to excellence shines through in our dedication to providing quality education firmly grounded in the principles of the Early Years Learning Framework. With a profound understanding of the unique developmental needs of young children, we have crafted a play-based curriculum that ignites curiosity, fosters creativity, and cultivates a love for learning. Each classroom is thoughtfully designed to cater to the specific age groups we serve, ensuring that every child receives an enriching and tailored educational experience.
Central to our approach is the recognition of each child as a unique individual, deserving of personalised attention and support. We celebrate diversity and actively incorporate children’s cultural backgrounds, family experiences, and community connections into our teaching practices. Through responsive and inclusive pedagogy, we create an environment where every child feels valued, respected, and empowered to explore their world with confidence.
Moreover, we understand the importance of providing a secure and nurturing environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and intellectually. Our educators implement consistent routines, set positive guidelines, and encourage proactive decision-making, fostering the development of essential life skills such as self-regulation, empathy, and conflict resolution. We believe in the inherent rights of every child to feel safe, respected, and included, and we are dedicated to upholding these principles in all aspects of our program.
The early years learning framework
The Early Years Learning Framework places an emphasis on play-based learning to encourage early childhood development. The learning is measured using the Five Learning Outcomes. The five Learning Outcomes are designed to capture the integrated and complex learning and development of all children across all ages.
The 5 outcomes that guide our curriculum are;
- Children have a strong sense of identity
- Children are connected with and contribute to their world
- Children have a strong sense of well being
- Children are confident and involved learners
- Children are effective communicators
